A Perfect Meal
Usually, Monday nights are fairly dull. This Monday, though, I saw things in a different light.
I lay in my bed, reading a book on beautiful living, wearing my pajamas. Suddenly, the smell of charcoaled burgers wafted into my bedroom. My mouth began to water as I pictured a thick, juicy burger with thick slices of onion.
I got out of bed, and decided to do something that I hadn't done in ages: dress up for dinner. Okay, so I just put on a sweater and jeans. It was still considerably dressier than my PJ's. I wore my favorite red, yellow, and brown-striped sweater. I brushed through my hair shortly before going downstairs to dinner.
As I expected, the burgers were perfectly juicy, topped with pepper and slices of onion. We had simple potato chips and peanut butter "nutty" bars with it.
Funny how a simple meal could taste so wonderful. It just goes to show that you don't have to have champagne and caviar to enjoy a great meal.
